Administrative Units

At Adamawa State University (ADSU), the Administrative Unit forms the central structure that supports the academic, research, and community service goals of the institution. It provides the critical non-academic services needed to keep the University functioning smoothly and efficiently.

The Administrative Unit ensures that the University’s policies are implemented, resources are properly managed, and the needs of staff, students, and external partners are effectively met. The unit’s vision is to deliver seamless, efficient, and transparent administrative services that support the University’s mission of providing quality education for development, and to build a professional, responsive, and accountable administrative system that facilitates academic excellence, research growth, and sustainable community development.

Key Responsibilities

Implement decisions of the Governing Council, Senate, and Management Committee.
Support academic operations including admissions, registrations, examinations, and records management.
Handle staff appointments, promotions, training, welfare, and discipline.
Maintain all vital University records, archives, and official correspondences.
Manage non-academic services for students such as accommodation, counseling, and welfare.
Oversee the allocation, maintenance, and use of University assets and facilities.
Act as the official communication hub between the University and external bodies including government agencies, accreditation bodies, and partner institutions.
Plan and execute major University events like Matriculation, Convocation, Workshops, and Conferences.
