The Registrar is the principal administrative officer of Adamawa State University, Mubi, and the custodian of the University’s official records. As the engine room of the University’s day-to-day operations, the Registrar’s Office provides strategic leadership and support services to students, staff, and the wider university community.

About the Registrar – Malam Aminu Aliyu Alkali
Malam Aminu Aliyu Alkali, the Registrar of Adamawa State University, Mubi, is an experienced and dedicated administrator committed to upholding the ideals of integrity, transparency, and service excellence. With a distinguished career in educational development and organizational management, Malam Aminu Aliyu Alkali oversees the smooth coordination of the University’s academic and administrative processes.
He works hand in hand with the Vice Chancellor and other Principal Officers to ensure that the University operates efficiently and maintains its commitment to academic excellence, discipline, and innovation.
Responsibilities of the Registrar
The Registrar’s responsibilities span across multiple critical areas, including:
Academic Affairs:
Coordinating academic programmes, Senate meetings, examinations, results management, and graduation ceremonies.Admissions:
Managing the admission process for new students, registration of returning students, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.Human Resources:
Overseeing staff recruitment, appointments, promotions, training, and welfare.Council Affairs:
Serving as Secretary to the University Council, Senate, Congregation, and Convocation, ensuring that records of proceedings are accurately maintained.Policy Development and Implementation:
Advising on and implementing University policies relating to governance, academic planning, and administration.Student Support Services:
Facilitating students’ documentation, enrollment, and general academic support in collaboration with other units.
