Ensuring Health and Wellness for the ADSU Community
The University Clinic at Adamawa State University (ADSU) stands as a testament to the institution’s unwavering commitment to the holistic well-being of its community. Since its inception in February 2003, the clinic has been instrumental in providing comprehensive healthcare services that align with both national and international standards, including those set by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and the World Health Organization (WHO)
Understanding that a sound mind and body are prerequisites for effective learning and teaching, the clinic integrates preventive, curative, promotive, and rehabilitative healthcare services. This approach ensures that students, staff, and their families receive timely and appropriate medical attention, fostering an environment conducive to academic excellence.

While some tests are free, others are available at subsidized rates .
Registration Process
To access the clinic’s services, students and staff must complete a registration process, which includes:
Collecting and filling out a registration form from the University Health Centre.
Undergoing basic laboratory investigations, such as urinalysis, blood group determination, genotype testing, stool microscopy, and AFB screening.
For students, a mandatory chest X-ray (CXR) is required.
Undergoing a physical examination conducted by a medical doctor, including measurements of height, weight, blood pressure, and pulse rate.
Upon completion, the form is finalized and signed by the attending medical doctor .
By integrating these services and processes, the University Clinic not only addresses immediate health concerns but also plays a pivotal role in promoting long-term wellness among the ADSU community. This commitment to health underscores the university’s broader mission of fostering an environment where academic and personal development can thrive unimpeded by health-related challenges.
